Susan Gisleson was born and raised in New Orleans. Her work utilizes non-traditional materials to tell stories. Recurring themes are the infinity of childhood; the illusion of memory; concepts of beauty; and the female form.
She is the director of Country Day Creative Arts, a phenomenal summer arts program and one of the founders of Press Street and Antenna Gallery.
